Definition: The ability of people to access, use and enjoy the software easily.
Use in Education: The negative example below notwithstanding, Social Software can make learning more accessible (in a wider sense). Where a 'traditional' didactic approach has been previously encountered (suffered?) some users can make more use of Social technologies.
Link to Example: Negative example would be MySpace. A prime example of inaccessibility is Habbo Hotel, widely used by the 11-15 age group. Irrespective of any technical limitations in terms of accessibility, the preferred mode of communication for users is in emoticons and acronyms: presumably not readable by text-to-speech software / screenreaders. [comment] Accessibility is not just about addressing sight impairments. Learners with poor reading (or specific language) skills may well make better educational use of such avatars than they might otherwise do.

Definition: a Blog which is mainly used for audio recordings (mp3 files). Some people incorrectly define podcasts as audio blogs. Anyone who posts audio into a blog has created an audio blog. For that to be a podcast there has to be a method of subscribing separately to the audio element (through RSS).
Use in Education: see blog and podcast
